I came by CIFA bus (8,50 USD) from Ecuador to Peru, the bus left Guayaquil at 01.10 pm and I was in Tumbes Peru only at 8 pm. There weren’t any further connections to Mancora, about 100 km from Tumbes, so I had to stay overnight in Tumbes.

I was taking a mototaxi to a hotel, I was sitting in the taxi, someone sat down beside me and somene from the door of the bus station yelled that no go, they inted to rob you. I returned quickly inside the station and rented “a little” more reliable driver.

I don’t know wheter Peru or Tumbes is specially dangerous when it comes to taxis, this was the first dangerous situation in South America.

I got in a cheap hotel (20 soles, about 6 euros), mototaxi less than 1 euro. After dinner I went surfing in a net cafe.

In the next morning I took a little walk, took cash from ATM (I had changed 20 USD on the border), went to breakfast. I waited Mancora bus for a half an hour in a placed told by the mototaxi driver, then I asked a passer-by and learned where micro buses to Mancora leave.

The micro bus to Mancora was terribly cramped, it was a very uncomfortable two hours (7 soles = 2 euro).
