I saw this ad of the Canadian Hostel Cairo in Talaat Harb street 5 and wanted to use the “book 2 nights and get 3rd free”. The normal price is 100 pounds/night (13 euros), so I would have 3 nights for 200 pounds – is it possible to understand that in some other way?
The Canadian Hostel reception, however, strictly refused to sell this offer to me. They offered 10 % discount per night, i.e., 90 pounds per night, and as a “last offer” 3 nights for 250 pounds. I asked to talk to the boss, but I was not allowed to do that.
Many kind of scams and lies seems to be common in Egypt, but I was suprised too see this in the Canadian Hostel. I guess the Canadians think: “when in Rome do as the Romans do”.
