After returning from the balloon flight I ate breakfast and slept a few hours. In afternoon I made a trip to the Valley of the Kings. I went there on foot, by ferry and by taxi, the taxi cost 30 EGP (4 euros).
The entry ticket cost about 10 euros, it gives three visits to any of the open tombs, I visited numbers 2, 11 and 14. The empty, small and less decorated tomb of Tutankhamun costs 13 euros, I didn’t visit it.
Even the other tombs are empty, the mummies are in Egyptian museum in Cairo. But there are wall carvings and paintings. You can watch Google photo seach results about the tombs of the Valley of the Kings.
It was possible to make a short trip (0,50 e) by train to the gate, where cameras and camera phones were collected.
When returning from the Valley of the Kings I stopped briefly at the Colossi of Memnon.
